OUR CRISIS SERVICES

CSO Crisis Programs (aka “Adult & Youth Mobile Crisis Interventions”) provide behavioral health assessment, intervention and stabilization for youth, families and adults 24 hours/day, 365 days/year.

Individuals may request crisis services on their own or they can be referred by family members, medical providers, schools, state agencies, law enforcement, etc. Crisis services are available to all individuals regardless of insurance or ability to pay.

QUICK RESPONSE

Families and individuals can experience the quickest response to a psychiatric crisis (with no medical symptoms) by first calling the local Crisis Services team. Individuals will be seen sooner that way than in the hospital emergency room, and in most cases at the location of their choice.

Crisis Services

Nonprofit, local community behavioral health agency Clinical & Support Options (CSO) provides trauma-informed, community-based urgent care and crisis services for youth, families, and adults.

CSO’s emergency services include mobile behavioral health assessment, intervention and stabilization. Individuals may request crisis services on their own, or they can be referred by family, medical providers, schools, agencies, law enforcement, etc. Crisis interventions, whenever possible, are provided at locations that support consumer preferences. In most circumstances, individuals can be seen in familiar settings, such as home, school, or doctors’ offices.

Assessments are strength-based and engage both professional and holistic supports. Youth interventions are family-focused. Trained paraprofessionals and peer supports are available.

Urgent Psychiatry

  • Development of a Crisis Management Plan.

  • Psychiatric consultation and urgent psychopharmacology intervention as needed.

  • Referrals and linkages to all medically necessary behavioral health services and supports, including access to appropriate services along the behavioral health continuum of care.

CSO has two adult Community Crisis Stabilization residences (sometimes called “respites”) located at the Crisis Office sites in Greenfield and Northampton. CCS residences provide 24-hour support and stabilization for adults age 18 and over admitted on a voluntary basis. • Quiet home-like atmosphere

  • Daily assessment and brief counseling

  • Case management

  • Daily nursing support

  • Recovery and wellness focused groups

  • Peer Support

Peer Support Services

Peers are professionally trained staff with personal experience receiving mental health services and willingness to share their knowledge and experience of recovery. All peer services are voluntary.
