“I enjoy working at CSO because of the sense of community and support we are given by the supervisory and management teams. I feel we as employees are valued and respected and this is evident by the benefits package. The agency has frequent professional development and training opportunities as well.”

“From my first day with CSO, I realized the agency was fully committed to offering the highest level of service to its clients. I’ve been working at CSO for over 5 years and I have always felt supported in my day-to-day job. I have always been encouraged to stretch my comfort zone and learn new things and take on new tasks to keep my job challenging and rewarding. I’ve grown personally and professionally and continue to strive to help others succeed.”

“I have been with CSO for four years. I came on board in 2012 as a Clinical Intern providing outpatient services to children, families and adults in the Springfield community. During this experience, my passion for this work was re-affirmed through engaging with a challenging, but extremely rewarding population, benefiting from an immense amount of clinical and administrative support through individual and group supervisions, engaging in team atmosphere, as well as taking advantage of many opportunities for trainings, certifications and participation on a trauma-informed regional workgroup. The relationships that I developed with my supervisor, co-workers and community members were key in my decision to pursue a full time Outpatient Clinician position upon graduation.

I cannot express enough what working for CSO has done for me as a clinician and a person. Although CSO is a fairly large organization, it has a close-knit feel since everyone, including all members of senior management and the executive team, are committed and actively involved in all that we do to embody the CSO mission!

I loved the ability to create my own work schedule at a pace that felt right for me as well as the freedom to gain additional skills and experience in particular areas of interest or modalities. I really valued the ability to bring new ideas to the table. I was not only permitted, but encouraged by my supervisor and the executive team to introduce a new therapeutic group that I was really interested in facilitating to our office, and that is still one of the best parts of my week. In a relatively short time, I have been afforded many opportunities and obtained three promotions, leading to my current role as Business Systems Manager.

CSO is known in the community for its excellence in providing efficient and responsive services to community members, and it is more and more being recognized as a rewarding, encouraging and engaging workplace. I am proud that I can say I feel I am doing what I do best when I go to work each day.“

“When providing services at CSO, employees can for the most part utilize their own working styles and strengths to make a difference in the lives of others, without being told exactly how we have to operate. Our personal input is appreciated.

Through my many years here at CSO, it is the many employees committed to their work that make our teams strong, and makes it a good environment to work in.

CSO strives to make a difference in the lives of others in the community, and also its employees. Within the agency CSO offers its employees workshops and trainings that can help them in their professional growth and development.”
