“I have been with CSO for four years. I came on board in 2012 as a Clinical Intern providing outpatient services to children, families and adults in the Springfield community. During this experience, my passion for this work was re-affirmed through engaging with a challenging, but extremely rewarding population, benefiting from an immense amount of clinical and administrative support through individual and group supervisions, engaging in team atmosphere, as well as taking advantage of many opportunities for trainings, certifications and participation on a trauma-informed regional workgroup. The relationships that I developed with my supervisor, co-workers and community members were key in my decision to pursue a full time Outpatient Clinician position upon graduation.

I cannot express enough what working for CSO has done for me as a clinician and a person. Although CSO is a fairly large organization, it has a close-knit feel since everyone, including all members of senior management and the executive team, are committed and actively involved in all that we do to embody the CSO mission!

I loved the ability to create my own work schedule at a pace that felt right for me as well as the freedom to gain additional skills and experience in particular areas of interest or modalities. I really valued the ability to bring new ideas to the table. I was not only permitted, but encouraged by my supervisor and the executive team to introduce a new therapeutic group that I was really interested in facilitating to our office, and that is still one of the best parts of my week. In a relatively short time, I have been afforded many opportunities and obtained three promotions, leading to my current role as Business Systems Manager.
