Our Elder Peer Counseling volunteers range in age from
their 50s to their 80s and come from all walks of life. All elder Peer
Counselors go through an intensive six week training course to learn about basic
counseling skills, aging issues, and resources available to elders in the community.
Our Elder Peer Counselors ease the stress of major life
transitions and losses by empowering their clients to have as full satisfying a life
possible. Through their own example, our Peer Counselors help guide others through the
inevitable adjustments associated with aging.
