PSYCHIATRIST- (Greenfield and Pittsfield)

To provide psychiatric case consultation, diagnostic evaluation and treatment of adult and/or child clients including prescription services; and participate in the development of evidence-based practices and integration of program policies as needed. Will work closely with staff and coordinate care.  Full or Part time.

CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST- (Athol, Greenfield, Northampton, Pittsfield, and Springfield)

We are currently conducting a search for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS/RNCS) in our Northampton Outpatient Clinic to provide diagnostic evaluation and treatment of clients including prescription services. MSN and valid Mass. nursing licensure as RN/PC; certification as Clinical Specialist in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing and at least five years’ experience in behavioral health treatment services. Part-time or full-time option.

Provide clinical and administrative supervision for outreach Clinicians and Family Support Workers who work with youth, adults and families providing crisis stabilization and ongoing support. Qualifications include a clinical Master’s degree with experience treating individuals, demonstrated child experience, and a minimum of two years’ supervisory experience preferred. Massachusetts clinical licensure strongly preferred.

CRISIS CLINICIAN- Northampton  and Athol

Northampton:A full-time or part-time evening position with the possibility of weekend shifts.  Athol:  Full time day/evening shift. Both positions provide assessment and brief interventions to adults, youth and families in psychiatric crisis.  Work with a expert tem of mental health professionals in community settings including homes, schools, hospital emergency department and the Crisis office to provide trauma sensitive interventions for safety and stabilizations.  Provide Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) as part of the Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative of Massachusetts.  Clinical Master’s degree required; minimum two years’ experience treating individuals with mental illness preferred.   Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

C.H.A.R.T. GRANT SCHOOL-BASED CLINICIAN– Athol

CHART Grant School-Based Clinician provides school-based counseling to children at grant-specified schools, and direct and indirect mental health services to children, adults and their families. The Clinician performs at a predetermined level of productivity, develops treatment plans and goals, and consults/collaborates with other professionals providing services to clients. The Clinician also participates in treatment planning, team meetings, in-service trainings, and other required meetings.Qualifications include clinical Master’s degree with post master experience preferred in treatment of children, adults and/or families. Must be eligible for or hold highest level of Massachusetts’ licensure in appropriate discipline, LICSW or LMHC preferred. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and computer competency. Must be able to work independently as well in a team environment, and follow through with projects. Computer proficiency including ability to work with email and word processing software required. Must possess valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

IN-HOME BEHAVIORAL SERVICES (IHBT) CLINICIAN- (Northampton)

Provide home-based consultation services, including functional behavioral assessments (FBA) and designing of behavioral interventions, for families of children with severe emotional disturbance. Master’s or doctoral-level degree or Psychological associate, who has completed two full years of graduate training and education in clinical or counseling psychology, is currently enrolled in or has completed a doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology in a regionally accredited university, and has had two years of graduate training and education. Prior background in behavioral interventions and Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) preferred but not required; training and supervision provided. Full-time or part-time. Massachusetts licensure preferred but not required. Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

PSYCHOLOGIST- (Northampton)

To provide assessments and consultation services in outpatient clinic and through an in-home behavior therapy (IHBT) service. Responsibilities include psychological evaluations with adults and children, diagnostic evaluations, and consultation services as necessary. Will also provide home-based consultation services, including functional behavioral assessments (FBAs) and designing of behavioral interventions for families of children with severe emotional disturbance. Qualifications: Licensed psychologist, licensure-eligible doctoral level clinician (Post-Doctoral Fellow), or pre-doctoral candidate enrolled in a doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology with a completed a pre-doctoral internship. Prior experience in psychological testing, Applied Behavioral Analysis, and child clinical work is preferred. Must have excellent writing and communication skills, good listening skills, nonjudgmental ability to foster self-sufficiency in families using problem-solving and practical skills, familiarity with support groups or parent education group. Ability to establish trusting relationships through compassion, empathy and insight. Be an effective member of a team. Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Ability to work with volunteers and multiple levels of professional and paraprofessional staff. Computer proficiency including ability to work with email and word processing software required. Massachusetts licensure preferred but not required. Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Psychologist/In-Home Behavioral Therapy Clinician (IHBT) (Pittsfield)

To provide psychotherapy and psychological testing in outpatient clinic, including psychological assessments, psycho diagnostic evaluations, and psychological consultation as necessary. Will also provide home-based consultation services, including functional behavioral assessments (FBA) and designing of behavioral interventions, for families of children with severe emotional disturbance. INTENSIVE CARE COORIDNATION- Northampton

Working directly with children and families through the state’s Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative, facilitate the development of Care Planning Teams for youth with
serious emotional disturbances (SEDs) enrolled in MassHealth. In concert with
the Team, the Coordinator develops family-centered Individual Care Plans, and
actively assists the child and family to obtain and monitor the delivery of
available medical, educational, social, therapeutic, or other services. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mental health discipline or equivalent experience required. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Bilingual/bicultural Spanish-speaking encouraged to apply.

PEER RECOVERY ADVOCATE- Northampton

To provide information, resources, advocacy and related services to support individuals through the crisis evaluation and stabilization .Offer hope and role modeling of recovery by sharing personal recovery experiences in a thoughtful way as appropriate. Manage and work with team to prioritize between designated roles including peer duties at the crisis evaluation site, mobile duties at the hospital or in the community, and support of individuals staying in respite. Communicate by phone or in person with individuals seeking evaluation support and advocate for needs as appropriate.  Support and advocate for individuals throughout the crisis evaluation process in the community or at the hospital independently or as a part of a team. Provide information, resources, support with goal setting, problem solving, advocacy and skills training in a variety of areas to individuals receiving services at the Respite as needed.  Knowledge of addictions required. Part-time or full-time.  Some nights and weekends. 

Experience receiving mental health services and willingness to share knowledge and experience of recovery essential. Must have or be willing to complete the Massachusetts Certified Peer Specialist training and certification within 6 months. Must be able to work in natural and clinical settings, relate well to a range of individuals, and promote a philosophy of recovery. Ability to adapt to changing needs and responsibilities and personal resiliency in high-stress, ‘crisis’ situations also critical. Substance Abuse experience preferred.  Will be able to document activities in a manner that meets agency requirements. Computer proficiency including ability to work with email and word processing software required. MA driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

OVERNIGHT CRISIS CLINICIAN- FULL OR PART TIME (Northampton)

Provide clinical evaluations of Crisis clients primarily at the local hospital emergency department. Must have Masters degree in clinical area.   Minimum two years’ post-masters clinical experience and licensing preferred, but not required. Must work well with health care team including nurses, physicians, and psychiatric back-up.   If on-call, must live
within 30 minutes of site. Serving three or more night shifts will receive premium pay per shift. CSO is a trauma informed agency and provides excellent training opportunities. Supervision for independent licensing available. CSO provides quality services to meet the behavioral health needs   of adults, youth and families throughout our service area. Become a member of a family centered,trauma informed, CSO Crisis Team.

RESPITE CLINICIAN- (Northampton)

Provide onsite support services to individuals utilizing the respite beds on per diem basis. Clinical Master’s degree required, with two years’ or more experience treating individuals with a serious mental illness in a residential, crisis intervention, or psychiatric inpatient setting required, post Masters’ Degree work expertisepreferred. Full-time, day position Tuesday-Saturday.

OVERNIGHT RESPITE COUNSELORS (Northampton)

Provide onsite support services to individuals utilizing the respite beds. Full-time. Relevant Bachelor’s degree and minimum two years experience treating individuals with mental illness.

RESPITE NURSE- PART-TIME (Greenfield)

Provide care and treatment of clients utilizing respite beds. LPN
with one year of experience required; RN with one year of experience working
with a psychiatric population preferred.

RESPITE NURSE- PER DIEM (Northampton)

Provide care and treatment of clients utilizing respite beds. LPN

Per diem position providing psychiatric services including consultation, support, assessment, intervention and discharge planning to individuals and families at Cooley Dickinson Hospital (CDH).   Minimum 3 years’ experience in behavioral health, Licensed in MA.  Per Diem.
